This Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy sets out our principles and procedures to prevent, detect, and report any activity associated with money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crimes.

2. Scope

3. AML Principles

Know Your Customer (KYC): Sellers and, where applicable, buyers must undergo identity verification, including submission of government-issued ID, proof of address, and business registration (for agencies/companies).

Customer Due Diligence (CDD): Enhanced due diligence is applied to high-risk users, high-value transactions, or flagged activity.

Monitoring: Transactions on the platform are monitored for unusual or suspicious patterns, including rapid movement of funds, split transactions, or use of multiple accounts.

Record-Keeping: All KYC, transaction, and monitoring records are retained securely for a minimum period required by law (typically 5–10 years).

Reporting: Suspicious activity will be reported to the relevant financial intelligence unit (FIU) or competent authority in accordance with applicable regulations.
4. Prohibited Activities
Tripdeo strictly prohibits the use of its platform for:

Money laundering, terrorist financing, or related financial crimes.

Transactions involving sanctioned individuals, organizations, or countries (as per international sanctions lists, e.g., UN, OFAC, EU).

Transactions involving proceeds from illegal activities.
5. User Responsibilities

Sellers: Must complete KYC/KYB verification before withdrawals are allowed. They must provide accurate and up-to-date information.

Buyers: For high-value transactions, buyers may be required to provide identification or proof of funds.

All Users: Must not use the platform to disguise the origin of funds, structure payments to avoid reporting thresholds, or participate in fraudulent activities.
6. Tripdeo Responsibilities

Implement AML training for staff and compliance teams.

Continuously monitor user accounts and transactions for red flags.

Freeze or suspend accounts involved in suspicious or prohibited activities.

Cooperate with regulators, law enforcement, and financial institutions in investigations.
7. Enforcement
Violations of this AML Policy may result in:

Immediate suspension or termination of accounts.

Reporting of suspicious activities to competent authorities.

Civil, regulatory, or criminal penalties as required by law.
8. Policy Updates
Tripdeo reserves the right to update this AML Policy to reflect changes in legal, regulatory, or operational requirements. Updates will be published with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
